Thibivillers · French Vexin · Oise
In the heart of a flower-filled village an hour from Paris, Florence and David welcome you to five rooms full of character, set around a large walled garden, a heated indoor pool and a fireside library.
Welcome
In a charming village of the French Vexin, on the edge of Normandy, Le Puits d'Angle welcomes you to a fully restored farmhouse decorated in a style that blends rustic simplicity with refinement: half-timbering, weathered brick, old beams and terracotta floors, softened by warm fabrics and careful decoration.
Every room has its own entrance, a private bathroom, a separate toilet and a firm yet soft bed for sweet nights. With its large walled garden, heated indoor pool, hammam and fireside library, you will find here all the charm and peace you need to unwind — far from the noise, and yet so close to Paris.
“The calm and beauty of the place. A haven of peace.”

For guests only and open all year, with an adjoining hammam: the luxury of a 28 °C swim on a January morning.
160 cm bed, private bathroom, separate toilet, fibre Wi-Fi and TV. Each has its apple name and its own personality.
2,600 m² behind old walls, planted in the 1960s by an architect-botanist: century-old magnolia, topiary, tall trees and loungers.
Fresh-squeezed orange juice, home-made yoghurts, rice pudding and jams at breakfast; in the evening, on request, the dinner Florence cooks from the market.
One hour from Paris and 30 minutes from Beauvais airport; two 18-hole golf courses 6 km away; Gerberoy, Giverny, Gisors and Chantilly within easy reach.
Gîtes de France 4 épis, 9.1/10 on Booking.com, 4.9/5 on TripAdvisor. And a welcome guests describe as “attentive to every detail”.
The rooms
A nod to neighbouring Normandy: each room is named after an apple variety — Judeline, Reinette, Royal Gala, Pink Lady and Chanteclerc. Three are in the converted barn, two in the main house. All have their own decor, private entrance and bathroom.

Wellbeing
Under a timber roof, the indoor pool is heated all year round and reserved for guests; the adjoining hammam prolongs the relaxation. Then a book by the fire, in the library with its floor-to-ceiling shelves.

Dining
Breakfast, included, is served in the library by the fire or in the garden under the magnolia: fresh-squeezed orange juice, home-made brioche and yoghurt cake, jams, yoghurts and rice pudding all made in-house. In the evening, on reservation, Florence cooks the table d'hôtes from the market and David chooses the wine.
€39 per person, three courses with wine — please book the day before.

Around us
Villages and churches of the French Vexin, two 18-hole golf courses, Gerberoy — one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France —, Gisors castle, Giverny and Monet's gardens, Auvers-sur-Oise, Lyons-la-Forêt… and Paris one hour away.

Your hosts
For Florence, taking over Le Puits d'Angle meant coming home to her native Picardy. After renovating, Florence and David now welcome you with pleasure and do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible: a tip for a walk, a restaurant booking, an early breakfast before a morning departure — you only have to ask.
Guests speak of a “warm” welcome, of hosts who are “attentive without being intrusive” and “full of good advice”. We speak French and English, and we love sharing our addresses: Gisors market, the roses of Gerberoy, the back road to Giverny. Naska, the house dog, will welcome you too — with suitable discretion.
